All Eliza Baker ever wanted was to be a boy mom. She and Tim shared three sons, Jackson, Barrett, and Crawford, whom Eliza loved and adored. She was their strongest advocate, supporter, and cheerleader in school, sports, and life.
It brought Eliza so much happiness that all three of her boys were baseball players. She loved watching them play, and most days would be at a ball field cheering on her ballplayers.
Eliza loved Little League Baseball and was proud that Jackson, Barrett and Crawford played Fort Hunt Little League in Alexandria, Virginia. She loved watching their games at the Hollin Hall baseball fields and their summer All-Star tournaments. Much to the chagrin of others, Eliza loved being the loudest baseball mom in the park and was proud of their home runs, pitching outings, championships, and accomplishments.
Unfortunately, Eliza passed away before she saw her sons and their Fort Hunt teammates achieve their dreams of playing baseball at the collegiate level. Continuing her legacy of supporting Fort Hunt Little League players, the Baker family established the Eliza Baker Memorial Scholarship in her honor. The scholarship will be awarded annually to a former Fort Hunt Little League baseball player who commits to playing baseball at the Division I, II, or III collegiate level.
Honor Eliza's memory by supporting the scholarship fund to help former Fort Hunt Little League baseball players achieve their dream of playing baseball at the collegiate level.
